CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Elowyn Albers Wehrenberg and Wesley Grant Proffer exchanged vows July 15, 2006, at Lakeshore Lodge at South Lake Tahoe, Calif. A violin duet provided music.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Margaret Wehrenberg of St. Charles, Mo., and the Rev. Fritz Wehrenberg of Ames, Iowa. The groom is the son of Gary and Betty Proffer of Chaffee.
Hal Wehrenberg was his sister's honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Laura Schumacher and Amy Malterer of St. Charles, cousins of the bride, and Kim Proffer of Kennett, Mo., sister-in-law of the groom.
Best man was Andrew Proffer of Kennett, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Ryan Boulware and Brian Young of St. Charles, and Jake McGrail of Springfield, Mo.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 13 on the beach at Lake Tahoe.
Shannon Burns attended the guest book.
A celebration service was held Aug. 12 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Chesterfield, Mo. A reception followed at the Christy Banquet Center in O'Fallon, Mo.
Mrs. Proffer is a 1995 graduate of Hinsdale South High School in Clarendon Hills, Ill. She received degrees in psychology and English from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Ind., in 1999. She is a general manager in Eureka, Mo., with Applebees International.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Chaffee High School, attended Southeast Missouri State University, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He is a realtor with Gundaker Coldwell Banker in St. Charles, and a corporate trainer with Applebees International in St. Charles.
After a wedding trip to Mayan Riviera, Mexico, the couple resides in St. Charles.
