Bethany Anne Wickham and Paul Lathan Wells were married Sept. 16, 2000, at Common Pleas Courthouse Gazebo. The Rev. Paul Kabo performed the double ring ceremony. Keyboardist was Mary Mims and soloist was Marge Wickham, sister of the bride, both of Cape Girardeau.

Parents of the bride are William S. and Sharon Wickham of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Roy O. Wells of Salem, Mo., and Jerry and Mary Palmer of Anna, Ill.

Maid of honor was Marge Wickham, and honorary matron of honor was Stacia Ledbetter of Cape Girardeau.

Chad Wells of St. Louis served his brother as best man. Groomsman was Charles Ledbetter of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were George Reeves of Cape Girardeau and Lee Oxford of Eudora, Kan.

Flower girls were Shannon Ledbetter and Claire Herbst of Cape Girardeau. Shannon is the daughter of Charles and Stacia Ledbetter. Claire is the daughter of Charles and Sydney Herbst.

Erin and Allyson Herbst of Cape Girardeau attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church. Servers were Becky Adams of Anna; Carol Palmer of Jonesboro, Ill.; Martha Stickler, Shirley Gibson, Katie King and Jean Blechle, all of Cape Girardeau.

The groom's mother and stepfather hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 15 at the church.

Mrs. Wells is a graduate of Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at the License Bureau in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is a graduate of Eudora High School. He is employed at Old Hickory Pits in Cape Girardeau.

The couple is residing in Anna.
