JACKSON, Mo. -- Hope LaRae Welker and Steven Micheal Yenicek were married May 20, 2000, at First Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Dean Heady performed the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Jacob R. Welker of Cape Girardeau and Mary J. Rodgers of Scott City, Mo. The groom is the son of Joan Yenicek of Florissant, Mo.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father.
Tara Farrow of Jackson was maid of honor and Tracy Blechle of Cape Girardeau was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sandy Foeste and Stacey Welter of Cape Girardeau.
The groom chose Bill Francis of Jackson as best man. Groomsmen were Rick Blechle and Chuck Hoffman of Cape Girardeau, and Joel Huey of Scott City. Ushers were Toni LaForest and Floyd Patterson of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were Stacey Welter and Sandy Foeste.
Flower girl was Julian Yenicek, daughter of the bride and groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Deerfield Lodge.
Mrs. Yenicek attended Devry Institute of Technology in Kansas City. She is employed at Heilig-Meyers Furniture Co. in Cape Girardeau.
The groom received a degree in physical education from Southeast Missouri State University. He is employed at DuShell's Furniture in Cape Girardeau.
The couple resides in Jackson.
