St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church was the setting April 28, 2000, for the wedding of Angela Jo Tanner and Steven William Logel. The Rev. Milton Ryan performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Teresa Maurer and trumpeter was Marc Fulgham, both of Cape Girardeau. Vocalists were John Arata of St. Louis and Alan Bruns of Cape Girardeau.
Readers were Sheila Heitz of St. Louis, aunt and godmother of the bride, and Flo Johnson of Cape Girardeau. Giftbearers were Valerie Siemer, Gary Heitz and Stephanie Heitz of St. Louis, cousins of the bride. Eucharistic ministers were Bill and Judy Arnet of Columbia, Mo., uncle and aunt of the groom.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. R. Neal Tanner and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert W. Logel of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Emily Kertz of Austin, Texas. Bridesmaids were Kimberly Sowers of Chicago; Michelle Heitz, cousin of the bride, and Lisa Carroll, sister of the groom, both of St. Louis.
Keith King served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were David Tanner of St. Louis, brother of the bride; Kris Outman of Jackson, Mo., and Matt Salzman of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were David and Michael Logel of St. Louis, brothers of the groom; and Todd Dickneite of Cape Girardeau.
Greeters were Wynnette Dickneite of Cape Girardeau, and Patty Heitz of St. Louis, cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at Holiday Inn. Servers were Joan Logel of St. Louis and Phyllis Logel of Chicago, sisters-in-law of the groom.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 27 at Drury Lodge.
Mrs. Logel is a 1991 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She received a bachelor of health science in occupational therapy from the University of Missouri at Columbia. She is the occupational therapy assistant manager at St. Francis Medical Center.
The groom is a 1991 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Southwest Missouri State University in 1995, and received a bachelor of health science in physical therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1998. He is a physical therapist at St. Francis Medical Center.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
