Cathleen Corine Tamplin and Sean Michael Dougherty were married Aug. 14, 1999, at Kumler Chapel on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. William Brunsmann performed the double ring ceremony. Marsha Weygant of Hamilton, Ohio, was pianist. Soloists were Debbie Mueller of Cleveland, Ohio, sister of the bride, and Linda Ridenour of Lafayette, Ind.
Gordon and Marianne Tamplin of Beavercreek, Ohio, are parents of the bride. The groom's parents are Michael and Kandy Dougherty of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Debbie Mueller, and maid of honor was Trish Tamplin of Powells Point, N.C., sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Katie Dougherty of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom, and Jen Schrader of Owensboro, Ky.
The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Bowers and Justin Robert of Cape Girardeau, and Aaron Redfearn of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at Marcum Center on the university campus.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 13 at Di Paolo's in Oxford.
Mrs. Dougherty is a 1997 graduate of the University of Kentucky in Lexington. She is an accountant with Arthur Andersen in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The groom is attending Northern Kentucky University. He is employed in the engineering department with the city of Covington, Ky.
The couple resides in Taylor Mill, Ky.
