Christy Lynn Staley and Jeffery Joseph Bebej exchanged vows March 11, 2000, at Hanover Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy and Vicar Mark Rabe performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Keith Koening and violinist was Casy Cook, both of Cape Girardeau, and soloist was Brooke Burrows of Jackson, Mo.
The bride is the daughter of Don and Diane Kelpe of Cape Girardeau, and the late Jerry Staley. Larry and Sue Bebej of Lockport, Ill., are parents of the groom.
Jill Morrow of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Misty Dunning of Jackson; Annette Kelpe of Jackson, sister-in-law of the bride; Tera Redfering and Nancy Davis of Cape Girardeau; Melissa Bebej and Jennifer Mazeika of Plainfield, Ill., sisters of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Cydney Greenwood, daughter of Chris and Sharia Greenwood of Nashville, Tenn., and cousin of the bride.
The groom chose his brother-in-law, Raymond J. Mazeika of Plainfield as best man. Groomsmen were Eddie Valek of Midland, Texas, Dan Kautz of Minooka, Ill., Todd Pehle of Cape Girardeau, Troy Pehle of Jackson, Joe Kelpe of Jackson and Bruce Kelpe of Louisiana, brothers of the bride. Junior groomsman was Christopher Greenwood, son of Chris and Sharia Greenwood and cousin of the bride. Ushers were Caleb Staley, Brian Pepper of Woodland, Miss., and Jim McCormick of Denver, Colo. Caleb is the son of Tom Staley and Susan Staley of Benton, Ky., and cousin of the bride.
Flower girl was Alexa Kelpe, daughter of Joe and Annette Kelpe and niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Landon Morrow, son of Jason and Jill Morrow and nephew of the bride.
Candlelighters were Casy Staley and Kenzie Buttrey, cousins of the bride. Casy is the daughter of Tom Staley and Susan Staley. Kenzie is the daughter of Kenny and Cheri Buttrey of Nashville.
Amy Goodson of Jackson attended the guest book. Program attendant was Katie Riemer of New Lenox, Ill., cousin of the groom.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Drury Lodge. Servers were Kathy Goodson and Kristi Watson of Jackson.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner March 10 at the Elks Lodge.
Mrs. Bebej is a 1994 graduate of Central High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She is a pharmacy technician at Meijer's in Naperville, Ill. She formerly worked at Broadway Prescription Shop in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 1992 graduate of Joliet Township High School Central Campus, and 1997 graduate of Southeast University. He is employed at Thompson Mechanical Inc. in Hillside, Ill.
After a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple resides in Plainfield.
