WEDDINGS: SLATEN-SHREVE

Stephanie Michelle Slaten and Jacob Micheal Shreve exchanged vows July 15, 2000, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Milton Ryan performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Lenny Kuper of Cape Girardeau. Vocalists were Beth Sherman of St. Louis and Neal Boyd of Sikeston, Mo. Readers were Robert Stricker of Katy, Texas, and Carl Stricker of Charleston, Mo., uncles of the bride.

Stephen and Martha Slaten of Cape Girardeau are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mike and Sharla Shreve of Fairfield, Ill.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Sarah Slaten of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Laura Slaten of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride; Andrea Shaw of St. Charles, Mo.; Angela Stricker of Charleston, cousin of the bride; Erika Smith of Herculaneum, Mo.; and Amanda Kelemen of St. Louis.

Brian Stoltz of New Orleans was best man. Groomsmen were Chad Richardson of Fairfield; Rick Harris, Kevin Funston, Scott Giles and Derek Borgsmiller, all of St. Louis. Ushers were Matt Shreve of Fairfield, brother of the groom; Ben Owen and Lucas Webb of Fairfield, cousins of the groom.

Flower girls were Sierra Molt and Julia Weber. Ringbearer was Layton Molt. Sierra and Layton are children of Frankie and Liz Molt of Fairfield and cousins of the groom. Julia is the daughter of Bill and Mary Weber of Jackson, Mo., cousin of the bride.

Julie and Sherri Shreve of Fairfield, sisters of the groom, attended the guest book. Michael Weber, son of Bill and Mary Weber and cousin of the bride, handed out programs.

Following the ceremony, the reception and dance was held at Enchanted Gardens in Jackson.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 14 at Osage Community Center.

Mrs. Shreve is a graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in mass communications. She is a graphic designer at Motorcycle Stuff.

The groom is a graduate of Fairfield Community High School, and expects to receive a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness from Southeast in December.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Cobden, Ill.
