Deidre Bates Sessoms and David Frank DeNuzzo were married June 30, 2001, at Julia Morgan House and Gardens in Sacramento, Calif. Yvonne Najah Addassi performed the double ring ceremony.
Shirley Sessoms and Henry and Tammy Sessoms, all of Cape Girardeau, are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Frank and Jane DeNuzzo of Gainesville, Fla.
The bride and groom were attended by all the children at the wedding: Aikia, Kasai and Kyungsoon Richardson of Santa Barbara, Calif., Rita Blanko of Clinton, Conn., all nieces of the groom; Robert Blanko of Clinton, nephew of the groom; Hayley Henley, Tyler, Nate, Jacob and Beka Oberholtzer, Stevie and Cody Sullivan, Connor and Eliza Webb, all of the Sacramento area.
Ushers were Henry Sessoms Jr., brother of the bride, and Henry Sessoms III, nephew of the bride.
The reception was held at the wedding site. Greeters were Genie Nelson, Kathie Clark and Colette Williams.
The groom and his parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 29 on the River City Queen Steamboat in Sacramento.
Mrs. DeNuzzo received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Southeast Missouri State University. She is completing a Ph.D. in science education at the University of California-Davis. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Teacher Education at California State University-Sacramento.
The groom received a bachelor of arts degree in architecture from the University of California-Berkeley. He is owner of a web-based business specializing in automotive parts and accessories.
After a wedding trip to Portugal, Spain and England, the couple is residing in Sacramento.
