SIKESTON, Mo. -- Christine Marie Schwendemann and Dean Alan Spurlock were married Oct. 7, 2000, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Msgr. William Stanton performed the double ring ceremony. Lectors were Thomas Schwendemann of Silex, Mo., godfather of the bride, and Laura Schwendemann of Portageville, Mo., sister of the bride.
Soloist was Lisa Degen of Sikeston, and accompanist was Terry Parker of Charleston, Mo.
Parents of the couple are Robert and Ann Schwendemann of Portageville, and Leonard and Mary Ann Spurlock of Sikeston.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Darlene Jobe of Chaffee, Mo., was her sister's matron of honor. Maid of honor was Carrie Schwendemann of Sikeston, and bridesmaids were Pam Treece of Sikeston and Stacy Elfrink of Jackson, Mo.
Best man was Todd Lenderman of Sikeston. Groomsmen were Kenny Woodard and Woody Smith of Sikeston and Jimmy Cantrell of Bloomfield, Mo. Ushers were Michael Schwendemann of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; Bo Duenne of Bertrand, Mo.; and Phillip Schwendemann of Portageville, brother of the bride.
Candlelighters were Devin James of Sikeston and Kevin Schwendemann of Portageville, brother of the bride.
Flower girls were Mollie and Abbey Conkin of Kingsport, Tenn., cousins of the bride. Ringbearers were Joshua Schwendemann of Chaffee, nephew of the bride, and Wesley Spurlock of Watauga, Texas, nephew of the groom.
Lindsey James of Sikeston attended the guest book. Program attendant was Mary Beth Schwendemann of Silex, cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception and dance was held at Banquets Beyond the Bay in Sikeston. Servers were Cheryl Spurlock of Watauga, sister-in-law of the groom; Tina Woodard; Wissie Hampton; and Marilyn Spurlock, sister-in-law of the groom, all of Sikeston.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 6 at Bo's Banquet Room in Sikeston.
Mrs. Spurlock is a business/vocational teacher at Sikeston Public Schools.
The groom is a sales executive at Truck Centers Inc. of Sikeston.
After a wedding trip to Lake of the Ozarks, Springfield and Branson, Mo., the couple is residing in Sikeston.
