JACKSON -- New McKendree United Methodist Church was the setting Nov. 20, 1999, for the wedding of Carmen Michelle Rushing and Charles Michael Cox. The Rev. Richard Northcutt performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist was Catherine Martin, flutist was Tammy Carroll, and soloist was Robyn Hosp, all of Jackson.

Parents of the bride are Michael and Donna Rushing of Jackson. The groom is the son of Mary Alice Cox of Sikeston.

Lori Wendel of Jackson was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Holly Statler of Jackson and Kim Andracsek of St. Louis.

Best man was Mark Sitzes of Bernie. Groomsmen were Todd Rushing of Oak Ridge, brother of the bride, and Warren Yancey of Evans, Ga., cousin of the bride. Ushers were Roger and Warren Yancey of Evans, uncle and cousin of the bride.

Guest book attendant was Marsha Yancey, cousin of the bride.

Candlelighters were Todd and Julie Rushing, brother and sister-in-law of the bride.

Flower girl was Haley Yancey, daughter of Rebecca Yancey of Jackson and cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Matthew Cox of Advance, son of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Dixie Grantham, Rebecca Yancey, and Darlene Yancey, aunt of the bride.

The groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner at the KC Hall.

Mrs. Cox is a graduate of Jackson High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University, She is assistant manager of the Obstetrics Department at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

The groom is a graduate of Sikeston High School. He is owner of CMC Delivery.

After a wedding trip to Maui, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
