TAMMS, Ill. -- Aimee Susan Powless and John Douglas Karnes were married in October 2000 at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Marion, Ill. The Rev. Carl H. Miller performed the double ring ceremony. Music was by Le Jardin Players of Carbondale, Ill. Stephen Powless, brother of the bride, played the harpsichord and piano.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen McCamish of Carterville, Ill., and Bill Powless of Tamms. The groom is the son of Margaret Karnes of West Frankfort, Ill., and the late Douglas Karnes.

Megan McCamish was maid of honor.

Best man was Jeff Karnes, brother of the groom. Ushers were Matt Barton, Brett Dees, Art Maddox and David Elliott.

Wendy Rieger attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at Marion Hotel and Convention Center.

The groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner at Franklin County Country Club.
