Organist was Ruth Boehne of Hoyleton, Ill., aunt of the groom; trumpeters were David Griesemer of Illinois, uncle of the bride, and Jon Boehne of Hoyleton, cousin of the groom. Soloist was Jennifer Phelps of Springfield, Ill.

The bride is the daughter of Janice and Larry Logan of Chatham, Ill. The groom is the son of Jim and Fay Bruening of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Erica Smith of Louisville, Ky. Bridesmaids were Aaron Craig of Seneca, S.C.; Kristin Frohlich of Elyria, Ohio; Heidi Sexton of Springfield, Ill., aunt of the bride; Sarah Bruening of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom; and Caitlin Wessel of Denison, Iowa, cousin of the groom.

Jason Zallares of St. Peters, Mo., was best man. Groomsmen were Scott Alsup of St. Charles, Mo.; Jeremy Robinett of West Plains, Mo.; Josh Stewart of Columbia, Mo.; Christopher and Timothy Logan of Chatham, brothers of the bride. Ushers were Travis Wessel of Denison, Josh Bruening of St. Louis Park, Minn., cousins of the groom; Mark Miller of Chatham and Jaime Griesemer of Illinois, cousins of the bride.

Candlelighters were Christopher and Timothy Logan.

Flower girls were Vanessa Sexton and Haley Gehlsen. Vanessa is the daughter of Jay and Heidi Sexton and cousin of the bride. Haley is the daughter of Brett and Kate Gehlsen of Denison and cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Forrest Sexton, son of Jay and Heidi Sexton and cousin of the bride.

Alaree Gunville and Holly Hemberger, cousins of the bride, attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the Illinois Building at the State Fair Grounds.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Masonic Temple in Springfield, Ill.

Mrs. Bruening received a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies from Southeast Missouri State University in 1998. She is a medical student at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City.

The groom received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast University in 1998, and a master's degree in mathematics from the University of Kansas in 2000. He is employed at Lees Summit North High School.

The couple resides in Lees Summit.
