Lori Ann Lester and Philip Nolan Johnson were married May 4, 2001, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. J. Friedel performed the double ring ceremony. Music was by Trio Girardeaux, and vocalists were Alan Bruns and Claire Syler.
Parents of the couple are J. Doug and Nancy Lester and Dr. David and Flo Johnson, all of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Ginny Lester of St. Charles, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Erin Fozard of St. Louis; Jodi Hefner of Cape Girardeau; Dr. Colleen Johnson of Columbia, Mo., sister of the groom; and Lauren Syler of Dallas, Texas.
David Tanner of Chicago served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were William Evans of Chicago; Brian Ferrence of West Mifflin, Pa.; Lee Lester of St. Charles and Lynn Lester of Cape Girardeau, brothers of the bride. Ushers were Michael Boiarsky of Burnsville, Minn.; Sean Hanlon of Raleigh-Durham, N.C., cousin of the groom; and Joseph Scaminaci of Schamburg, Ill.
Readers were Caryl Hanlon of Sunrise, Fla., Karen Loeffler of Pickerington, Ohio, aunts of the groom; and Lynda Rhodes of Haines City, Fla.
Flower girl was Caroline Lester and ringbearer was Alec Lester, children of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Lester and niece and nephew of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at Drury Lodge.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 3 at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Mrs. Johnson is a 1995 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in mass communications from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a sales representative with Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Notre Dame High School. He received a bachelor's degree in aviation science from Parks College of St. Louis University. He is a pilot with TWA.
After a wedding trip to the Dutch West Indies, the couple resides in O'Fallon, Mo.
