LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Kristal Lynn Landewee and Matthew Edward Hill were married Oct. 21, 2000, at St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Bill Huggins performed the double ring ceremony. Wendy Vandeven and Courtney Wesbecher of Leopold, cousins of the bride, were acolytes. Andy Landewee of Leopold, cousin of the bride, was eucharistic minister. Reader was Bryan Greaser of Cape Girardeau.
Organist was Alissa Vandeven of Kelso, Mo. Vocalists were Alan Bruns of Cape Girardeau, and Jill Landewee of Leopold, sister of the bride. The church choir was directed by Mary Jansen of Leopold.
Parents of the bride are Bill and Glenda Landewee of Leopold. The groom is the son of Andrew and Judy Hill of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Mary Hill of Austin, Texas.
Maid of honor was Lisa Landewee of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jill Landewee; Jennifer Nielsen of Minneapolis, Minn., sister of the groom; Angie Landewee of Leopold, cousin of the bride; and Stephanie Christensen of Las Vegas, Nev.
Matt Anderson of New York, N.Y., was best man. Groomsmen were Mike Hovis of Cape Girardeau; Andrew Hill of Dallas, Texas, brother of the groom; Pete Sickles of Detroit, Mich.; and Adam Landewee of Leopold, brother of the bride. Ushers were Brad Landewee of Leopold, cousin of the bride, and Nick Meyer of San Antonio, Texas.
Candlelighters were Rene Landewee of Leopold and Michelle Dorman of Kelso, cousins of the bride.
Ringbearers were Trevor Nielsen and Cole Wesbecher. Trevor is the son of Paul and Jennifer Nielsen and nephew of the groom. Cole is the son of Ronnie and Pam Wesbecher of Leopold and cousin of the bride.
Kelly Wesbecher, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Abby Landewee and Shelby Vandeven, cousins of the bride. Abby is the daughter of Brad and Rene Landewee. Shelby is the daughter of Gary and Kim Vandeven of Leopold.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Kim Vandeven and Pam Wesbecher, aunts of the bride; Sandy Beussink, Shirley Brotherton, Janel Juergensmeyer, Tammy Arnzen, Nancy Keim, Tara Broshuis and Becky Fluchel.
The groom's family hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 20 at Holiday Inn in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Hill is a graduate of Leopold High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She is the supervising secretary with the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in Jackson, Mo.
The groom is a graduate of Notre Dame High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in philosophy from Southeast University, and a juris doctor degree from Ohio Northern University in Ada. He is an attorney with Dickerson, Hill, Fort, Greaser and Lange law firm in Cape Girardeau.
After a wedding trip to Asheville, N.C., the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
