St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church was the setting Aug. 7, 1999, for the wedding of Molly Kathleen Kuhlmann and Christopher Todd Schaefer. The Rev. Milton Ryan performed the double ring ceremony. Music was played by Maxine Brice of Jackson.

Parents of the couple are George and Judy Kuhlmann and Don and Diane Schaefer, all of Cape Girardeau.

Mickie Kuhlmann of St. Peters was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Monica Nugent of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride, and Claire Conway of St. Louis, cousin of the bride.

The groom chose his brother, Bryan Schaefer of Cape Girardeau, as best man. Groomsmen were Paul Kuhlmann of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride, and Chad Ludwig of Jackson, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Drew Shearer, Regan Swan, Kenny Truska, Chris Kirby and Ben Truska.

Flower girl and ringbearer were Laurah and Devon Schaefer, cousins of the groom. Laurah is the daughter of Ken and Kate Schaefer of Cape Girardeau. Devon is the son of Jim and Cindy Schaefer of Barnhart.

Candlelighters were Georgia Kuhlmann and Jerrad Schaefer. Georgia is the daughter of Doug and Kerri Kuhlmann of Andover, Mass., and cousin of the bride. Jerrad is the son of Jim and Cindy Schaefer and cousin of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Elks Lodge.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 6 at Cape County Park South.

Mrs. Schaefer attended Shawnee Community College. She is employed at Pyramid Group in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is a 1996 graduate of Franklin Truck Driving College. He is employed at Byron Lang Trucking in Jackson.

The couple resides in Jackson.
