MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Emma Jones and Markus Winkelmann were married July 22, 2000, at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Fred Ritter performed the ceremony. Organist was Marilyn Baker of Marble Hill.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Terry Jones of Cologne, Germany, and formerly of Cape Girardeau. She is also the daughter of the late Mary Lisa Barker Jones, formerly of Marble Hill. The groom is the son of Ferdi and Elke Winkelmann of Cologne.
The bride was presented in marriage by her grandparents, George and Berniece Barker of Marble Hill.
Attendants were Jennifer Lee of Plymouth, England, sister of the bride, and Sarah Thompson of Jackson, Mo., cousin of the bride.
Best man was Mark Massengale of Marble Hill.
Flower girl was Olivia Massengale, cousin of the bride.
Candlelighter was Mary Kathryn Massengale, cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. Winkelmann is employed at a television station.
The groom is employed by Ford Motor Co.
After a wedding trip to Treasure Island, Fla., the couple resides in Cologne.
