JACKSON, Mo. -- St. Paul Lutheran Church was the setting Aug. 26, 2000, for the wedding of Amy Rachelle Gentry and Christopher Todd Haertling. The Rev. Robert Henrichs performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Lois Fehrmann of Jackson, and soloist was Connie Aufdenberg of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Karen Gentry of Jackson, and the late James Gentry. Vernon and Norma Haertling of Jackson are parents of the groom.
Maid of honor was Kimberly Baldwin of Jackson, and matron of honor was Cheryl Sachse of Friedheim, Mo. Bridesmaids were Lori Wills and Jill Noel of Jackson, sisters of the bride.
Tom Sachse of Friedheim served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Mike Tuschhoff of East Prairie, Mo., Brian Hester and Brad Noel, brother-in-law of the bride, both of Jackson. Ushers were Stan Haertling, brother of the groom, and Brent Wills, brother-in-law of the bride, both of Jackson.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Kaitlynn and Hunter Baldwin, children of Kim Baldwin of Jackson and Rick Baldwin of New Wells, Mo.
Candlelighters were R.J. Schulte of Monument, Colo., nephew of the groom, and Amanda Peiffer of Jackson, niece of the groom.
Christine Woodard of Cape Girardeau attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Glenda Nations, Bonnie Schulte, Connie Peiffer and Chris Haertling, sisters of the groom.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 25 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
Mrs. Haertling is a 1986 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in family services from Southeast Missouri State University in 1990. She is a licensed agent with Wills Insurance.
The groom is a 1988 graduate of Jackson High School. He is self-employed on the Haertling Family Farm at New Wells.
The couple is residing in Altenburg, Mo.
