JACKSON -- Pamela Jean Farris and Micheal Glenn Hiett exchanged vows Nov. 20, 1999, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. The Revs. Milton Ryan and Bill McGhee performed the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Thomas Howard Farris Jr. and Mary Louise Farris of Thebes, Ill. The groom is the son of Mary Davenport and Vernon Davenport of Marble Hill.
Christy Young of Cape Girardeau was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Belinda Perkins of Fruitland, Tiffany Barks of Patton, Julie Gowin of Bartlesville, Okla., and Patricia Garnett of Jackson.
Best man was Tony Perkins of Fruitland. Groomsmen were Leroy Hiett of Marble Hill, Chris Barks of Patton, Eric Hoxworth of Millersville, and Thomas Farris III of Thebes. Ushers were Gary Stovall of Scopus and Carl Backfisch of Benton.
Flower girl was Darby Backfisch of Benton, and ringbearer was Christopher Young of Cape Girardeau.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Route 25 Hall. Servers were Daniel Backfisch of Benton and Candice Lee of Chaffee.
Mrs. Hiett is a 1994 graduate of Egyptian High School in Tamms, Ill. She is employed at Dana Corp. in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 1988 graduate of Jackson High School. He is employed at Dana Corp.
The couple resides in Jackson.
