FRUITLAND, Mo. -- Elizabeth Merriam Estes and Stephen Douglas Barr were married Oct. 21, 2000, at Grandel Theatre in St. Louis. The Rev. Henry Bevel of Des Moines, Iowa, performed the ceremony. Pianist was Steven Zwart of Louisville, Ky., uncle of the bride.
Stephen and Patricia Estes of Fruitland are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Merton and Louise Barr of West Des Moines, Iowa.
Maid of honor was Monica Vansaghi of St. Louis and matron of honor was Kristin Vinson of O'Fallon, Mo. Bridesmaids were Amy Estes and Sarah Estes of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the bride, and Susan Barr of West Des Moines, sister of the groom.
David Barr of Alleman, Iowa, served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Todd Youngberg of Chicago, Michael Cozzoni of O'Fallon, Raymond Waidmann III and Steven Brenner of St. Louis.
Guest book attendant was Emily Brennan, cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the Grand Hall of the theater.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 20 at Bevo Mill in St. Louis.
Mrs. Barr is a 1990 graduate of Central High School, and 1994 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She is senior art director at Momentum-St. Louis.
The groom is a 1990 graduate of Northeast Missouri State University. He is associate creative director at Momentum-St. Louis.
The couple resides in St. Louis.
