QULIN, Mo. -- Abundant Life Christian Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo., was the setting Sept. 9, 2000, for the wedding of Melissa Dawn Dockins and Michael Joseph Armstrong. David Thomas performed the ceremony. Music was by Charlotte Vandiver of Dexter, Mo., pianist; and Sarah and Anna Patterson of Qulin, sisters of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Debbie Patterson-Pruett of Qulin, and Donnie Glenn Dockins of Poplar Bluff. The groom is the son of Dean and Lola Armstrong of Wappapello, Mo.
Amanda Warren of Qulin was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Darnell, Jamie Aikey, Jessica Lee and Jennifer Hunsaker, all of Poplar Bluff.
Best man was Mark Criesel of Wappapello. Groomsmen were Reggie Null, Matt Armstrong, Scotty Smothers and Trey White, all of Wappapello. Ushers were Jesse Armstrong, brother of the groom; Matt Dockins, brother of the bride; and Dave Reeves.
Flower girls were Sarah and Anna Patterson. Ringbearer was Joey Hafely of Poplar Bluff.
Candlelighters were Amanda Berger of Qulin and Amy Thomas of Poplar Bluff.
Guest book attendants were Joyce Fiske, Trisha Thomas and Angie Hafely.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the church. Servers were Jan Whiteley, Karen Darnell and Claudia Curry.
The bride and groom hosted the rehearsal dinner at Ryan's in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Armstrong is a 2000 graduate of Twin Rivers High School, and is attending Three Rivers Community College.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Puxico High School. He is employed by Robinson Trucking at Shook, Mo.
The couple is residing at Wappapello.
