St. Mary Magdalen Church in St. Louis was the setting Oct. 9, 1999, for the wedding of Deborah Lynn Burch and Joel Patrick Wilmarth. The Rev. Donald Burr performed the ceremony.
Readers were Nancy Gleason of St. Louis and Josh Taylor of Perryville, cousin of the groom. Offertory gifts were presented by Elizabeth Taylor of Perryville and Bob Yamnitz of Winter Springs, Fla., godparents of the groom, and Mary Cross of Tucson, Ariz., and Thomas Bender of Phoenix, Ariz., godparents of the bride.
Parents of the couple are Lynn and Pat Burch of Rock Hill, and George and Melba Wilmarth of Cape Girardeau.
Mary Burch of Warrensburg was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Carissa and Jessica Wilmarth of Cape Girardeau, Laura James of Jackson, all sisters of the groom; Andrea Linnebach of Olathe, Kan., Kim Pulley of Cape Girardeau, and Kathryn Cross of Tucson, cousin of the bride.
The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Brian James of Jackson, brother-in-law of the groom; Jeff Biester of Cape Girardeau; Carlos Camarillo and Paul Sharp of Perryville, both cousins of the groom.
Ringbearer was Jacob Wilmarth, son of Brian and Laura James and nephew of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a dinner reception and dance was held at Regal on the Riverfront in St. Louis.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 8 at Rich and Charlie's Restaurant in Crestwood.
Mrs. Wilmarth is a middle school teacher at Our Lady of Presentation School.
The groom is assistant manager and buyer at Spicers of Ladue.
After a wedding trip to Disney World in Orlando, Fla., the couple is residing in St. Louis.
