TAMMS, Ill. -- First Baptist Church in Tamms was the setting Oct. 9, 1999, for the wedding of Janet Louise Buchanan and Chris Eric Faulkner. Kenneth Johnson performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist was Judy Sharp of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and soloist was April Hemman of Oak Ridge, Mo.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas Miller of Tamms, Jerrie Miller of Scott City, Mo., and the late Jerry Buchanan. Wayne and Linda Faulkner of Thebes are parents of the groom.

Leslie Faulkner of Thebes, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Kelly Miller of Scott City, sister of the bride.

The groom chose Jeremy Johnson of Tamms as best man. Groomsman was Cory Tucker of Poplar Bluff, Mo. Ushers and candlelighters were Justin Miller and Jonathan Caldwell of Tamms.

Flower girl was Jessica Miller, sister of the bride. Ringbearer was Samuel Gauthier, son of Majors Robert and Joyce Gauthier of Cape Girardeau.

Crystal Dillow attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Olive Branch Community Center. Servers were Rachel Honey, Marilyn Miller and Mary Wissinger.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 8 at their home.

Mrs. Faulkner is pursuing a degree in English at Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at the Oak Ridge Early Childhood Center.

The groom received a bachelor of science degree in education. He is employed at Oak Ridge R-6 High School.

The couple resides in Jackson, Mo.
