Heather Rene Britton and Jay Keith Davis were married May 6, 2000, at the Elks Lodge. Pat O'Laughlin and the Rev. Ralph Kaufman performed the double ring ceremony. Soloist was Kelly Roy of Cape Girardeau.

Bennie and Kim Britton of Villa Ridge, Ill., are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Jerry and Mary Davis of Lee, Ill.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Karla Thomas of St. Louis, and Jill Foster of Mounds, Ill., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Autumn Pettit of Kennett, Mo., Jana Krebs of Bartlett, Ill., Jennifer Gaston of DeKalb, Ill., Jamie Ehling of Kevil, Ky., and Jessica Whiteside of Olmsted, Ill.

The groom chose Shaun Alsdorf of Vidalia, Ga., as best man. Groomsmen were Tommy Roy, Mark Linneberry, Jason Schwartz, all of Cape Girardeau, and John Davis of Lee. Ushers and candlelighters were Ryan and Brent Britton of Villa Ridge.

Flower girl was Olivia Foster of Mounds, Ill. Ringbearer was Alex Bellamey of Karnak, Ill.

Jessica Curry of Newton, Iowa, attended the guest book and handed out programs.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Elks Lodge.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 5 at Heartland Banquet Hall in Jackson, Mo.

Mrs. Davis received a degree in management from Southeast Missouri State University. She is assistant manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

The groom is attending Shawnee College. He is a sales representative at Holloway Carpet One.

After a wedding trip to Playa Del Carmen, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
