DEXTER, Mo. -- First Baptist Church in Dexter was the setting Sept. 30, 2000, for the wedding of Donna Jo Boyer and Chris "Mo" Mofield. The Rev. Wayne Dismuke performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist was Eric Mathis.
Parents of the bride are Gary Boyer and Barbara Boyer of Sikeston, Mo. The groom is the son of Jerry and Shelba Mofield of Dexter.
The couple's parents were their attendants. Ushers were James Boyer of Fruitland, Mo., brother of the bride; Jonathan Boyer of Fruitland, nephew of the bride; Darrel Pyle and Richard Bailey of Dexter.
Flower girl was Chelsea Delay of Bloomfield, Mo., niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Jerod Boyer of Fruitland, nephew of the bride.
Guest book, program and gift attendants were Amy Delay of Bloomfield, sister of the groom; Courtney Delay of Bloomfield, niece of the groom; and Renee Boyer of Fruitland, sister-in-law of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a dessert reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Assistants were Celia Temples and Janie Smelzer of Dexter; Carolyn Witt of Sikeston; Lori Pettet of Cape Girardeau and Lisa Early of Maryland Heights, Mo., both cousins of the bride.
The groom and his parents hosted the rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. Mofield is a 1986 graduate of Sikeston High School. She received a degree in business administration from Murray State University in Murray, Ky., in 1990. She works in her home as a software analyst for Charter Communications of St. Louis.
The groom is a 1983 graduate of Dexter High School. He is a funeral director with Rainey Funeral Homes in Dexter and Bernie, Mo.
After a wedding trip to Washington, D.C., the couple resides in Dexter.
