BENTON -- Melinda Paige Blevins became the bride of Joseph Billington Kirk Jr. Jan. 8, 2000, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Cleveland, Tenn. The Rev. Davin Boettner performed the ceremony. Organist was David Elrod of Cleveland. Vocalists were Daniel Bollinger of Moultrie, Ga., uncle of the bride, and Julie Roberts of Cleveland.
Lector was Ben Willis and Lynn Bollinger, aunt of the bride, both of Moultrie. Acolytes were Daniel Bollinger II of Atlanta, Ga., cousin of the bride, and Michael Lennon of Chattanooga, Tenn.
Eucharistic ministers were Ronald Braam of Cleveland and Lee Willis of Moultrie. Presenters of gifts were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Tripp of Cape Girardeau, uncle and aunt of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Brenda Bollinger Blevins of Cleveland, formerly of Benton, and the late Bobby Joe Blevins. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Kirk Sr. of Knoxville, Tenn.
Matron of honor was Stacey Casteel of Chattanooga. Bridesmaids were Kennon Dennis of Nashville, Tenn.; Pamela Williams of Canton, Ga.; Schansa Davis of Georgetown, Tenn.; Pharis Callaway of New York; Margarett Kirk, Barbara Norris and Michelle Surber, all of Knoxville and sisters of the groom; Michelle Blevins of Alpharetta, Ga., sister-in-law of the bride; and Lee Bollinger Ingram of Fort Bliss, Texas, cousin of the bride.
The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Paul Blevins of Alpharetta, brother of the bride; Jason Spence and Stephen Koella of Louisville, Tenn.; Frank Nystrom of Knoxville; William Norris, brother-in-law of the groom, Davis Overton, Franklin Payne, Ross Spence and Owen Hughes IV, all of Knoxville.
The bride's mother hosted the reception at the Museum Center in Five Points, Tenn.
The couple is residing in Knoxville.
