Barbara Lynn Beis and Paul Scott Kembel were married Dec. 2, 2000, at St. Eustachius Catholic Church in Portageville, Mo. The Rev. Jim Reynolds performed the ceremony. Organist was Jody Kelley of Portageville. Reader was Greg Perkins of Jonesboro, Ark.

Parents of the bride are Charles and Dorothy Beis Jr. of Portageville. The groom is the son of Robert and Debie Kembel of Cape Girardeau.

Mary Alsup, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Gramlisch of Delta, Mo., Cheryl Butler and Shelli Long of Cape Girardeau.

Best man was Dennis Hinkle of Cape Girardeau. Groomsmen were Matt Enos, Nathan Mueller and Aaron Foote, all of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Jason LeDure of Cape Girardeau and Gary Mason of Commerce, Mo.

Flower girl was Caitlyn Allgier, daughter of Phillip and Angie Allgier of Fredericktown, Mo., and niece of the bride. Ringbearers were Ryan and Nathan Noland, twin sons of Paul and Nancy Noland of Perryville, Mo., and nephews of the bride.

Guest book attendants were Nikki Weddington of Portageville and Seth Noland of Perryville, niece and nephew of the bride.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Portageville Community Center. Servers were Betty Burgess, Carol Bowden and Judy Swilley, all of Portageville.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Dec. 1 at the community center.

Mrs. Kembel is a 1992 graduate of Portageville High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She is a provider service representative with Alliance Blue Cross Blue Shield in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is a 1993 graduate of Central High School. He is a deputy with Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department.

The couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
