Rebecca Jill Rigdon and Craig Darrin Marshall exchanged vows July 1, 2000, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. J. Friedel performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Alan Bruns of Cape Girardeau, soloist; Cheryl Oberhaus of Cape Girardeau, pianist; and a string quartet comprised of Michelle Suhr, Kirk Miller, Bob Adcox and Chris Torretta, all of Cape Girardeau.
Parents of the couple are Denis and Jan Rigdon and Donald and Nancy Marshall, all of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Darcy Rigdon of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Joanna Seres of Herrin, Ill.; Debra German of Malden, Mo.; Clara Holt of Ithaca, N.Y.; and Alison Fuist of Webster Groves, Mo., cousin of the bride.
Samuel Godwin of Cape Girardeau served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Aaron Ringle of St. Louis; Edward "Butch" Owens of Cape Girardeau; Robert Marshall of Republic, Mo., and Kevin Marshall of Kelso, Mo., brothers of the groom. Ushers were Chris Crawford, Mark King, John Hearnes and Josh Miller.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Julia and Brandon Marshall, niece and nephew of the groom. They are the children of Robert and Sherry Marshall.
Linda Fuist of Webster Groves attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Enchanted Gardens in Jackson, Mo. Servers were Sherry Marshall of Republic and Stacy Marshall of Kelso.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 30 at Delmonico's in Jackson.
Mrs. Marshall received a degree in early childhood education from Southeast Missouri State University, and is pursuing a master's degree in early childhood education at the university.
The groom received degrees in music and marketing from Southeast University.
The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
