Julie Danyne Pierce and Jim L. Williams were united in marriage Nov. 13, 1999, at First Church of God. Roger B. Christiansen performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bonnie J. Pierce of Cape Girardeau, and the late Wesley Pierce. The groom is the son of Marita Benzen of Ava.

The bride was presented in marriage by her grandfather, Joe Stephens of Cape Girardeau.

Mona Sanford of Jackson was matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Tina Bahner of Cape Girardeau. Junior bridesmaid was Lacey Adamson, daughter of Bill and Jennifer Adamson of Tulsa, Okla., and niece of the groom.

The groom chose Eric Speake of Springfield as best man. Groomsman was Jack Snyder of Cape Girardeau. Junior groomsman was Stephen Landewee, cousin of the bride. He is the son of David and Laura Landewee of Liberty and Sherry Landewee of Oran. Ushers and candlelighters were Nick and Robert Adamson, sons of Bill and Jennifer Adamson and nephews of the groom.

Flower girl was Brittany Landewee, cousin of the bride. She is the daughter of David and Laura Landewee and Sherry Landewee. Ringbearer was Cain Adamson, son of Bill and Jennifer Adamson and nephew of the groom.

Renee Ward of Bartlett, Tenn., attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the church. Servers were Gail Thompson of Litchfield, Ky., Linda Overton of Carterville, Ga., Velda Gardner of Morley, aunts of the groom, and Dorothy Mecum of Cape Girardeau.

The groom's mother and stepfather, Marita and Tom Benzen, hosted the rehearsal dinner at Delmonico's in Jackson.

Mrs. Williams is a 1987 graduate of Central High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Retina and Vitreous Associates of Kentucky in Lexington.

The groom is a 1984 graduate of Cabool High School, and 1994 graduate of Southeast. He is pursuing a degree in occupational therapy at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond.

The couple resides in Richmond.
