SCOTT CITY -- Christine Lynn Petitt and Calvin Brian Mah were married July 10, 1999, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Patrick Wissman performed the double ring ceremony. Lector was Melanie Beard, aunt of the bride. Organist and pianist was Loretta Ditto of Chaffee. Vocalist was Justin Johnson of Benton.

Parents of the bride are William and Cynthia Petitt of Scott City. The groom is the son of Douglas and ChowKing Mah of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Maids of honor were Dana Petitt, sister of the bride, and Jennifer Roth, both of Scott City. Bridesmaids were Tara Sanford of Scott City; Cherish Brott of Fenton, cousin of the bride; and Amanda Atwell of Cape Girardeau.

Andy Jaikaran of Edmonton served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Phil Sevigny and Steve Davidson of Edmonton, Matt Hurst of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Tim Lowery of Scott City. Ushers were Paul Petitt of Paducah, Ky., Wayne Petitt of Scott City, Jason Statler of Jackson, all cousins of the bride; and Tim Beard of Cape Girardeau, uncle of the bride.

Flower girl was Brittany Beard, daughter of Tim and Melanie Beard and cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Jonathon Locke, son of Matt and Melissa Locke of Nixa and cousin of the bride.

Candlelighters were Amy and Joey Beard of Jackson, cousins of the bride.

April Stafford of Chaffee, cousin of the bride, was guest book and program attendant.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Kathy Beard of Jackson and Joyce Blattel of Gordonville, aunts of the bride.

The bride's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Drury Lodge.

Mrs. Mah received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Southeast Missouri State University in 1996. She is a financial analyst with Clark Refining in Clayton.

The groom received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Alberta in 1992. He is a registered nurse with the surgical staff at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis and at St. Mary's Hospital in Clayton.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in St. Louis.
