JACKSON, Mo. -- Emanuel United Church of Christ was the setting Nov. 18, 2000, for the wedding of Melanie Denise McCormack and Mark Edward Lutes. The Rev. Samuel Roethemeyer performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist was Christy Shinn and soloist was Danny Schott, both of Jackson.
Parents of the couple are Dennis and Shirley McCormack of Jackson, and Gary and Sharon Lutes of Marble Hill, Mo.
Marcie McCormack of Jackson was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Terra Aufdenberg of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Lora Fornkahl of Cape Girardeau.
Best man was Randy Green of Marble Hill. Groomsmen were Christopher Lutes of Marble Hill, brother of the groom, and Jimmy McCormack of Jackson, brother of the bride. Ushers were Michael Brockmire of Egypt Mills, Mo., cousin of the bride, and Don McFarland of Jackson.
Candlelighters were Kathy Brockmire of Egypt Mills, cousin of the bride, and Heather Davis of Patton, Mo., sister of the groom.
Olympia McMackins attended the guest book.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Paige and Tyler Lutes, children of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at Drury Lodge. Servers were Candyce Burlison, Donna Roberts and Paula Sawyer.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Nov. 16 at Delmonico's.
Mrs. Lutes is a graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a kindergarten teacher at Fredericktown, Mo., Schools.
The groom is a graduate of Woodland High School. He is employed at Procter & Gamble.
The couple resides in Jackson.
