MALDEN -- St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church was the setting Dec. 18, 1999, for the wedding of Brooke Christine Hildebrand and Bobby Lynn Clubbs. The Rev. Richard Walsh performed the double ring ceremony.
Organist was Carolyn Gifford of Kankakee, Ill., and guitarist was Scott Mercer of Bernie. Vocalists were Elden and Megan Dubuque of Kankakee, cousins of the bride, and Kevin Cook of Minneapolis, Minn.
James and Susanne Hildebrand of Kankakee are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Robert and Judy Clubbs of Malden.
Krista Hildebrand of Kankakee, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Moorman of St. Louis, Beth Ashmore of Springfield, Ill., and Frances McKearn of Chicago, all cousins of the bride.
The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Cook of Minneapolis, Scott Mercer, and William Yohnka of Bourbonnais, Ill., cousin of the bride. Ushers were Robert Yohnka of Bourbonnais, cousin of the bride, and Chad Davidson of Neoga, Ill.
Flower girls were Cate Goeke and Heidi Kurzejka. Cate is the daughter of Lori Schaffer and Dr. Christopher Goeke of Cape Girardeau. Heidi is the daughter of Dr. Ronald and Annette Kurzejka of Kankakee. Ringbearer was Matthew Kurzejka, son of Ronald and Annette Kurzejka.
Stephanie Street of St. Louis attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Civic Auditorium in Kankakee.
The bride and groom and the groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Dec. 17 at Monical's Pizza.
Mrs. Clubbs is a 1994 graduate of Herscher High School in Herscher, Ill. She received a degree in speech and theater education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1998. She is a graduate assistant and is pursuing a master of fine arts degree at Western Illinois University in Macomb.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Malden High School. He received a degree in speech and theater education from Southeast University in 1997. He is a graduate assistant and is pursuing a master of fine arts degree at Western Illinois University.
The couple resides in Macomb.
