Jodie Louise Eichhorn and Thomas Paul Berkbigler Jr. exchanged vows April 20, 2001, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Revs. Milton Ryan and Lewis Hejna performed the double ring ceremony. Music was provided by Jeffery Overbey and Paul Berens, and vocalist was Julie Stoverink, all of Cape Girardeau.

Parents of the bride are Butch and Connie Eichhorn of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Tom and Kathy Berkbigler of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Jill Eichhorn of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tara Mills of Jefferson City, Mo., cousin of the bride; Sara Berkbigler, sister of the groom, and Nichole Buehrle, both of Cape Girardeau.

Mark Berkbigler of Cape Girardeau served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Rick Eftink of DesMoines, Iowa, cousin of the bride; Eric Wessel of Breeze, Ill.; and Michael Sander of Fort Knox, Tenn. Ushers were Paul Schnurbusch of Perryville, Mo., and Michael Schnurbusch of Jackson, Mo., cousins of the groom.

Candlelighters were Erin and Kelsey Stratton, daughters of Ed and Darla Stratton of St. Louis and cousins of the bride.

Flower girl was Madison Pettit, daughter of Shane and Kristy Pettit of Oran, Mo., and cousin of the bride. Ringbearers were Jacob Winters, godson of the groom, and Ian Eichhorn, cousin of the bride. Jacob is the son of Paul and Ginger Winters of Union, S.C. Ian is the son of Bob and Nelda Eichhorn of Chaffee, Mo.

Alexandra Wieser attended the guest book and program attendants were Max Wieser and Nich LeGrand, all of Cape Girardeau and cousins of the bride.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Deerfield Lodge.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 19 at their home.

Mrs. Berkbigler received a degree in child development from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000, and is pursuing a master's degree in child and family studies at the university.

The groom received a degree in physical therapy from Maryville University in St. Louis. He is a pediatric physical therapist at Kenny Rogers Children's Center in Sikeston, Mo.

The couple resides in Jackson.
