BENTON -- The First Christian Church in Matthews was the setting Nov. 27, 1999, for the wedding of Terry Elaine Brewer and Mark Anthony Cheatham. The Rev. Caston Countz performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Cherie Whitten of Matthews, and soloist was Lori Brotherton of Kewanee.
James and Elizabeth Brewer of Benton are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Charles Cheatham of Sikeston and Beverly Cheatham of Jackson, Tenn.
The bride was presented in marriage by her son, Jared Brewer-Juden.
Debbie Swift of Sikeston was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Diane Hull of Sikeston, Lisa Spalding and Sherry Glastetter of Benton, and Nina Mills of Sikeston. Junior bridesmaid was Jamie Brewer of Frankfort, Ky., niece of the bride.
The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were James "Eddie" Brewer Jr. of Frankfort and Fred Higdon of Benton, brothers of the bride; Mike Mills and Bill Culp of Sikeston, and Jake Higgins of Matthews.
Guest book attendants were Emily Spalding of Benton and Tanya Standridge of Sikeston.
The bride's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Nov. 26 at their home.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Sikeston Country Club.
Mr. and Mrs. Cheatham are residing in Sikeston.
