Amy Elizabeth Brandt and Russell Brandon Grammer were married July 31, 1999, at La Croix United Methodist Church. Robert Wright performed the double ring ceremony. Music was by Tim DePriest.

The bride is the daughter of Trudy Brandt of Cape Girardeau, and the late John Brandt. The groom is the son of Sue Grammer of Cape Girardeau and Bobby Grammer of Georgia.

Angie Brandt of Cape Girardeau was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Meredith Prasse of Little Rock, Ark., sister of the bride; Amy Scheer and Erica Wilson of Cape Girardeau, Melissa Schaff of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Catha Gass of Dallas, Texas.

Kevin Zink of Cape Girardeau served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Byron and Nick Karathanos; David, Scott and Jeff Grammer, brothers of the groom, all of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Matt Brandt of Cape Girardeau and Adam Prasse of Little Rock, brothers of the bride; Brian Prasse of St. Louis, stepbrother of the bride; and Dan Fitzgerald of St. Charles, uncle of the bride.

Flower girl and ringbearer were Megan and Tyler Brandt, children of Mike and Judy Brandt of Cape Girardeau and cousins of the bride.

Candlelighters were Katie Fitzgerald, cousin of the bride, and Kristi Grammer, niece of the groom. Katie is the daughter of Dan and Betsy Fitzgerald. Kristi is the daughter of Scott and Jan Grammer of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Jennifer Martin of Cape Girardeau attended the guest book.

The groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner July 30 at Holiday Inn.

Mrs. Grammer received a bachelor of science degree in education. She is a second grade teacher at Clippard School.

The groom received a bachelor of science degree in education. He is a fourth grade teacher at Jefferson School.

The couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
