New McKendree United Methodist Church was the setting May 28, 2005, for the wedding of Lindsey Jo Walker and Michael Adrian Dawes. The Rev. John Rice performed the ceremony. Organist was Brenda Neumeyer and soloist was Robyn Hosp, both of Jackson.

Parents of the couple are Jim and Sally Walker of Jackson, and Mike and Lois Dawes of the state of Oklahoma.

Matron of honor was Jennifer Turman of Chicago. Bridesmaids were Kaitlin Crites of Wilton, Conn., Dana Ulrich of St. Louis, Caroline Harper of Jackson, Paty Perez of Columbia, Mo., and Karen Steger of Charlotte, N.C.

Jesse Ragland of Kansas City, Mo., was best man. Groomsmen were Chase Walker of Jackson, brother of the bride; Matt Cummens of Edmond, Okla., cousin of the groom; Jeff Jones of Lees Summit, Mo.; Chad Lowman of Louisville, Ky.; and Jason Houchen of Los Angeles, Calif. Usher was Kyle Thompson of Jackson.

Candlelighter was Mary Goshen, daughter of Charlie and Sherry Goshen of Jackson and cousin of the bride.

Flower girl and ringbearer were Sydney and Dylan King, respectively, children of Andy and Jennifer King of Cape Girardeau.

Guest book attendants were Melissa Cummens and Sarah Haskin, cousins of the groom.

The reception was held at Bavarian Halle. Servers were Sherry Goshen and Sue Pierce, aunts of the bride; Teresa Thompson and Karen Turley.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 27 at Davis Banquet Center.

Mrs. Dawes is a 1998 graduate of Jackson High School, and received a bachelor of health science degree in nuclear medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003. She is employed at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, Mo.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, Mo., received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from UMC in 2002, and expects to receive a degree in nurse anesthesia in 2007.

The couple is residing in St. Louis.
