Laura Beth Wagoner and Lance Christian McClard exchanged vows July 24, 2004, at Centenary United Methodist Church. Dr. Clayton Smith performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Phillip and Leta Wagoner of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Richard and Rebecca McClard of Jackson.
Maid of honor was Leslie Wagoner of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Christy Brueckner of Charleston, S.C., Laura Dombrowski of Denver, Colo., Sara Jansen of Houston, Texas, Cindy Choinka of Louisville, Ky., and Mary Rau of St. Charles, Mo.
Ryan McClard of Jackson was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Paul Leoni of Jackson, Ian Fagala and Matt Davis of St. Louis, Mike Schemel of Memphis, Tenn., and Roger Denny of St. Louis. Ushers were Zane McClard and Tom Henderson of St. Louis, Burt Hahs of Jackson, and Vincent Sullivan of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were Jessica Kidd of St. Louis and T.J. Bishop of Cape Girardeau.
Flower girl was Gabrielle LeBel, daughter of Drs. Joseph and Laura LeBel of Greenville, S.C., and cousin of the groom.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson. Servers were Jessica Strassner of St. Louis and Ellen Wagoner of Fort Worth, Texas.
The rehearsal dinner was held July 23 at Francine's Gardens.
Mrs. McClard is a 1996 graduate of Central High School. She received a degree in human development and family studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and is pursuing a master's degree in social work from the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Jackson High School, and received a degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University. He is a fourth grade teacher at Taylor Elementary in Columbia, S.C.
The couple is residing in Columbia.
