SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Nicole Lynn Wadlington and Scott David Winkler were united in marriage Sept. 29, 2001, at Clearview General Baptist Church. The Rev. Larry Rouse performed the double ring ceremony. Sheila Williams of Cape Girardeau was flutist and pianist. Soloists were Christi Bachew and Jason Bachew of Cape Girardeau. Jamie Styles of Nashville, Tenn., cousin of the bride, read scriptures.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Diana Wadlington of Scott City. The groom is the son of Wanda Winkler of Perryville, Mo., and the late Robert Winkler.
Maid of honor was Shana Wadlington of Scott City, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Robin Ewrin of Perryville, sister of the groom; Michelle Linder of Columbia, Mo., Deidre Bucy of Scott City, Angie Hennenmann of St. Louis, Beth Tallent, Erin Brazel of Scott City, Robyn Burleson of Charleston, Mo., Lesli McConnell of Scott City, and Ashley Dille of Poplar Bluff, Mo., cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Lexy Denton of Poplar Bluff, cousin of the bride.
Bob Bogacki of Cape Girardeau and Jeff Weibrecht of Perryville served the groom as best men. Groomsmen were Allen Gilmore of St. Charles, Mo., cousin of the bride; Tim Ruessler of Dallas, Texas, Shawn Ganske of St. Louis, Corey Winkler of Perryville, brother of the groom; Rob Merrick of Springfield, Mo., Steve Loomis of Jefferson City, Mo., Mark Reynolds of Cape Girardeau, and Keith Winkler of Perryville, brother of the groom. Junior groomsman was Alan Spencer of Fayetteville, Ark., cousin of the bride. Ushers were Allen Gilmore, Bryan Friese of Scott City, Enda Flynn of San Antonio, Texas, and Steve Karagiannis of St. Louis.
Candlelighters were Juli Bergin and Chris Brewer of St. Louis.
Miniature bride was Alexis Spriggs, daughter of David and Jill Spriggs of Scott City and cousin of the bride.
Flower girl was Kayla Winkler, daughter of Keith and Mary Winkler and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Austin Spriggs, son of David and Jill Spriggs and cousin of the bride.
Rosebearers were Trustin Denton and Travis Myatt of Poplar Bluff, cousins of the bride; Dustin, Neil and Kelsi Barron and Marissa Ewrin, all of Perryville and nephews and nieces of the groom.
Renee Winkler of Houston, Texas, sister of the groom, attended the guest book. Program attendants were Kallen and Kelsey Gilmore of Hot Springs, Ark., Kelly Penn, Rachel Spencer of Fayetteville, cousins of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception and dance was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Misty Lambert of Scott City and Tiffany Thomas of Portageville, Mo., cousins of the bride; and Wendy Barron of Perryville, sister of the groom.
The groom's mother and family hosted the rehearsal dinner at the church.
The bride and groom received bachelor of science degrees from Southeast Missouri State University. They are Cisco certified network associates with Williams Communications in St. Louis.
The couple resides in St. Charles.
