Kristy Dawn Waddell and Andrew Douglas Johnston were united in marriage June 14, 2003, at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. James Seyer performed the ceremony. Music was by Leann Hendricks and soloist was Lisa Simmons, both of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Cherlyn Waddell of Poplar Bluff, Mo. The groom is the son of Steven and Diane Johnston of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Tammy Inman of Poplar Bluff, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tara Freeman of Poplar Bluff, Julie Rung of St. Louis, and Angie Pfaff of Perryville, Mo.
Greg Cook of Cape Girardeau served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Lee Inman of Poplar Bluff, brother-in-law of the bride; Josh Elfrink of Jackson and Reagan Swan of Fruitland. Ushers were Stephen Dotson of Jackson and Agan Alkan of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighter was Leah Hagedorn, cousin of the groom.
Flower girl was Emilee Inman, niece of the bride.
Kristyn O'Hayon attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at Heartland Banquet Hall in Jackson.
The rehearsal dinner was held June 13 at Centenary United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Johnston received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Southeast Missouri State University in 2002. She is employed at Brost and Associates Family Eye Care.
The groom received a bachelor's degree in industrial technology electronics from Southeast University. He is employed at St. Francis Medical Center.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
