JACKSON, Mo. -- St. Paul Lutheran Church was the setting Nov. 10, 2001, for the wedding of Shelly Lynn Wachter and Travis Eric Ward. The Rev. David Johnson performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Lois Fehrman and soloist was Bill Bonney, both of Jackson.

The bride is the daughter of Kenneth Wachter and Edward and Sandra Schilling, all of Jackson. Ward is the son of Robert and Kathleen Ward of Cape Girardeau and Wayne and Carole Pfeiffer of Jackson.

Maid of honor was Kaley Wachter of Jackson, daughter of the bride. Matron of honor was Kristy Budt of St. Louis, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Shelly Werner; Amy Ruch, cousin of the bride; Sarah Cook; Mitzi Evans; and Emilie Statler, cousin of the bride, all of Jackson.

Mark Guilliams of Jackson served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Brent Pfeiffer of Rolla, brother of the groom; Trae Thrower of Cape Girardeau; Blake Guilliams and Mark Evans of Jackson; and Brad Blackman of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Kennett Asher III and Greg McNeely of Jackson.

Miniature brides were Alexis Ruch, cousin of the bride, and Abigail Budt, niece of the bride. Alexis is the daughter of Amy Ruch and Jeremy Ruch of Jackson. Abigail is the daughter of Kevin and Kristy Budt of St. Louis.

Flower girl was Kelsey Ward, daughter of Jackie Ward of Cape Girardeau and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Aaron Dost, son of Neal and Kim Dost of Shawneetown, Mo., and cousin of the bride.

Cindy Dohogne of Kelso, Mo., attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Misti Dinkens of Cape Girardeau and Sami Schulte of Jackson.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

The groom's mother and stepfather hosted the rehearsal dinner Nov. 9 at High Street Station.

Mrs. Ward received a bachelor of science degree in social work from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a social service worker with Division of Family Services.

The groom received a degree in business administration from Murray State University in Murray, Ky. He is collections manager at CitiCapitol Commercial Corp.

Following a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Jackson.
