Vicki Lea Wachter and Clayton Wayne Helderman were married Oct. 30, 2004, at Burfordville Baptist Church. The Revs. Jim Cogdill and Morris Cobb performed the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Charley and Retha Wachter of Altenburg, Mo., and Wayne and Georgia Helderman of Whitewater.

Matron of honor was Terri Peters of Burfordville, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Cindy Johnston of Scott City, sister of the bride, and Julie Hawk of Jackson, sister of the groom.

Greg Lacey of Scott City was best man. Groomsmen were Jamie Wachter of Altenburg, brother of the bride, and Jarod McCullough of Fenton, Mo. Ushers were Jeff Peters of Burfordville and Patrick Johnston of Scott City, brothers-in-law of the bride.

Candlelighters were Sarah Reinecke of Jackson and Leanne Grant of Sikeston.

Guest book attendant was Kim Chronister of Cape Girardeau. Programs were handed out by Denise Yamnitz of Jackson.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Servers were Janet Statler and Marlene Scholl of Jackson, Agnes Wachter of Old Appleton, Mo., aunts of the bride; Denise George of Fenton; Dennis and Liz Aufdenberg, and Jamie and Denise Yamnitz.

The bride and groom hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 29 at the church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Helderman received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1997, and a master of arts in teaching from Webster University in 2000. She is a middle school math teacher with Scott City School District.

The groom is self-employed.

The couple is residing in Burfordville.
