Jessie Lee Vavak and Ryan David Eftink were married March 3, 2012, at Guardian Angel Church in Oran, Mo. Monsignor Edward Eftink performed the ceremony. Organist was Geri Beussink of Jackson, guitarists were Jim and Justin Keusenkothen of Jackson, and vocalist was Chrissy Renick of St. Louis.
Parents of the couple are Johnny and Lori Vavak of Cape Girardeau, and David and Doris Eftink of Oran.
Maid of honor was Madison Lowrance of Cape Girardeau. Matron of honor was Jenny Schade of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Margaret Zimmer, Ashley Sachse, Whitney Ford, Molly Horrell, all of Cape Girardeau, Chelsey Rigdon of Jackson, and Megan Richards of Cape Girardeau.
Ryan McMillan of St. Louis was best man. Groomsmen were Jake Vavak of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; Craig Crawford of St. Louis, brother-in-law of the groom; Keith Seyer and Tommy Roy of Cape Girardeau, Michael Freeman of Leawood, Kan., David Jackson, Adam Eftink, brother of the groom, both of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Charlie White of Sikeston, Mo., Cliffe Jarvis of St. Louis, cousin of the groom; Jonathan Knaup of Webster Groves, Mo., Matthew Schamburg of Jackson, and Nathan Snyder of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were Chelsea and Cortney Farrow, children of Chris and Jackie Farrow of Cape Girardeau and cousins of the bride.
Flower girls were Caylee Farrow and Grace Wessel. Caylee is the daughter of Chris and Jackie Farrow and cousin of the bride. Grace is the daughter of Josh and Michelle Wessel of Gordonville. Ringbearers were Colton Farrow and Jack Cartwright. Colton is the son of Chris and Jackie Farrow and cousin and godchild of the bride. Jack is the son of Brian and Kris Cartwright of Wentzville, Mo., and godchild of the groom.
The reception was held at The Venue in Cape Girardeau.
The rehearsal dinner was March 2 at Ray's Plaza Conference Center in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Eftink received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a registered nurse in NICU at Saint Francis Medical Center.
The groom received a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from Kansas State University. He is employed at Double D Supply Co. in Sikeston, Mo.
After a wedding trip to Kauai, Hawaii, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
