Kathryn Jane Vangilder and Kevin Michael Ballatore were married June 13, 2009, at Hanover Lutheran Church. The Rev. Roger Henning performed the ceremony. Organist was Matt Palisch of Jackson, and trumpeters were Dr. Marc Fulgham and Matt Martin. Vocalists were Beth St. John of Jackson and Dr. Chris Goeke of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Scott and Meredith Vangilder of Jackson. The groom is the son of Spirito and Kathi Ballatore of Valley Ford, Calif.
Maid of honor was Melissa James of Park Hills, Mo., cousin of the bride. Matron of honor was Rosario Ballatore of Valley Ford, sister-in-law of the groom. Bridesmaids were Rachel Biri of Jackson and Kara Vangilder of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the bride; Cristina Hlebakos of Petaluma, Calif.; Sarah Wiinch of Desloge, Mo., cousin of the bride; and Paige Pylate of Cape Girardeau.
Jared Ames of Watsonville, Calif., and Jim Jensen of Tomales, Calif., were best men. Groomsmen were Eric Ballatore of Valley Ford, brother of the groom; Kyle Burbank of Tomales; Brian Ballatore of Petaluma, brother of the groom; Ryan Vangilder of Festus, Mo., brother of the bride; Howard Wilson of Petaluma and Cameron Murphy of Bodega, Calif.
Kaitlin Myers of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Amanda Koch of Cape Girardeau were guest book and program attendants.
The reception was held at Drury Lodge.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 12 at Bella Italia.
Mrs. Ballatore is a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in human environmental studies with an emphasis in dietetics from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008. She is a registered dietitian.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Tomales High School. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Southeast in 2006, and is pursuing a master of arts in physical education from the University of Phoenix. He is a football coach at Santa Rosa Junior College.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Valley Ford.
