McKenzie Ann Turley and Joseph Shane Walter were united in marriage Oct. 28, 2006, at La Croix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Ron Watts performed the ceremony. Pianist and vocalist was Tyson Zahner.
The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Karen Turley of Jackson. The groom is the son of John and Valerie Walter of Jackson.
Matron of honor was Alisha Turley of Jackson, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jessica Walter of Jackson, sister of the groom; Valerie Doran of Columbia, Mo., Lauren Schuermann of Kirksville, Mo., and Rebecca Seabaugh of Jackson.
Josh Walter of Jackson was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Nathan Turley of Jackson, brother of the bride; Brandon Lorenz of Columbia, Matt Wortmann of Jackson, and Neel Thakker of St. Louis. Ushers were Adam Oblath of San Francisco, Calif., Gautam Ganguli of Pittsburgh, Pa., Alex Latushkin and Zach Eckler of New York, N.Y., Gary Nidetz and Folu Okunade of Chicago.
Candlelighter was Kaci Thompson of Jackson.
Ringbearer was Kannen Turley, son of Nathan and Alisha Turley of Jackson and nephew of the bride.
Dana Wright, Lindsey Church and Shannon Stover attended the guest book.
The reception was held at Bavarian Halle. Servers were Cathy Goodman, Teresa Thompson, Sally Walker and Jerre Hall.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 27 at Port Cape.
Mrs. Walter is a 2001 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a degree in finance from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005. He is employed at Peter J. Solomon Co. in New York.
The couple resides in New York.
