JACKSON, Mo. -- Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in St. Louis was the setting May 5, 2001, for the wedding of Brenda Lou Thompson and Aaron Thomas Gleason. The Rev. Scott Lohse performed the double ring ceremony. Musician was Vaughn Keim of Creve Coeur, Mo. Vocalist was Chad Borders of Cape Girardeau. Scripture readers were Renee Gerdes of Bartelso, Ill., and Monica Goebel of Breese, Ill.
The bride is the daughter of Linda J. Thompson of Jackson, and the late Glen H. Thompson. The groom is the son of Tom and Carol Gleason of Sikeston, Mo.
The bride was presented in marriage by her brothers, Brad and Brian Thompson of Jackson.
Matron of honor was Darla Hemmann of Chesterfield, Mo., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Nicole Martin of Manchester, Mo.; Suzanne Baros of El Campo, Texas, sister of the groom; Amy Thompson of Jackson, sister-in-law of the bride; Kristi Gilmore of O'Fallon, Mo.; and Amber Hampton of Lewistown, Ill.
The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Todd Metz of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Joe Thomas of Palmyra, Mo., John Brotherton of Sikeston, John Stahlschmidt of Cathedral City, Calif., and Shay Borders of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Jeremy Cranfield of Jackson, Miss., Ryan Florek of Belleville, Ill., Steve Ledbetter of St. Louis, Shane Lowrimore of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Andy Robinson of Millstadt, Ill.
Flower girl was Katelyn Baros of El Campo, niece of the groom. Ringbearers were Michael and William Denman of Wheaton, Ill., cousins of the bride.
Bell ringers were Blake Thompson of Jackson, nephew of the bride, and Justin Baros of El Campo, nephew of the groom.
Paula Thompson of Jackson, sister-in-law of the bride, attended the guest book. Program attendant was James Thompson of Jackson, nephew of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Creve Coeur Country Club.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 4 at The Missouri Bluffs Golf Club in St. Charles, Mo.
The bride is a 1992 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy in 1997 and a doctor of pharmacy degree in 1998 from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. She is an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Sikeston High School, and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a golf professional and tournament coordinator at The Missouri Bluffs Golf Club.
After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Chesterfield.
