Shannon Elizabeth Tally and Dewayne McAlister Jr. exchanged vows May 27, 2006, at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The Rev. Phillip Roop performed the ceremony. Soloist was Allen McKendree of Nashville, Tenn.
Parents of the couple are Ben and Jo Tally, and Dewayne and Lana McAlister, all of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Meredith Tally of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Anne Heisserer of Scott City and Mandi Moore of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the bride; Heather Sneed of Chaffee, Mo., sister of the groom; Jayne Calder of Dothan, Ala., Denise and Sabra Roop of Cape Girardeau.
Josh Hanlon of Chaffee was best man. Groomsmen were Aaron Fuller of Chaffee; Darrell Coleson of Illinois; John Hawkins and Jay Respondek of Cape Girardeau; Dan Tally of Jackson, cousin of the bride; and Jared Roop of Cape Girardeau. Junior groomsmen were Cory Sneed of Perryville, Mo., nephew of the groom, and Jonah Roop of Cape Girardeau. Usher was Tony Heisserer of Scott City, brother-in-law of the bride.
Flower girls were Abigail Heisserer of Scott City and Natalie Moore of Cape Girardeau, nieces of the bride. Ringbearers were Anthony Heisserer of Scott City, nephew of the bride, and Stephen Hoffmeister of Cape Girardeau.
Jenny Vangilder of Jackson attended the guest book.
The reception was held at Drury Plaza.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 26 at Dave and Buster's in St. Louis.
Mrs. McAlister received a degree in psychology from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000. She is a pharmacy technician at Medicap Pharmacy in Cape Girardeau.
The groom attended Southeast University. He is employed with McAlister Tree Service, and is a fireman with Jackson Fire Department.
After a wedding trip to Australia, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
