Brandi Michelle Strong and Charles Jacob Wallgren were married June 21, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Paul Short performed the ceremony. Music was by the Heritage String Quartet of St. Louis.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Berla Strong of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Thomas and Cheryl Wallgren of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Amber Saupe of Jackson, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kayla Cooley of Jackson; Lindsey Hovis of Millersville; Felicia Proffer of Fruitland; Sara Saupe of Cape Girardeau, sister-in-law of the bride; Molly Schutter of Cedar Springs, Michigan; and Ruby Morton of Jackson.

Joshua Cooley of Jackson was best man. Groomsmen were Joshua White of Gordonville; Curt Majors of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; Russ Scritchfield of Monett, Missouri; Jesse Saupe of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; Michael Cervantes and Matthew Hileman of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Ryan Criddle and Steven Maldonado of Cape Girardeau, Chuck Brown of Fruitland, Benjamin and Joey Dordoni of Cape Girardeau.

Candlelighters were Katherine Sanders of Cape Girardeau, and Madeline Johnston, daughter of Deanna Johnston of Jackson and cousin of the bride.

Flower girl was Kerra Criddle, daughter of Steven Criddle. Ringbearer was Gavin Saupe, daughter of Amber Saupe and nephew of the bride.

The reception was held at The Water's Edge in Gordonville.

The groom's father hosted the rehearsal dinner June 20 at Bella Italia.

Brandi received a bachelor of science degree in communication disorders from Southeast Missouri State University in 2013, and is pursuing a master of arts degree in communication disorders at Southeast.

Charles pursued a bachelor of science degree in industrial technology. He is employed at Ascent Corp. in St. Louis.

Following a Caribbean cruise, the couple is residing in Fruitland.
