Amber Nicole Stringer and Clint Thomas Wellin were married July 21, 2007, at Cape First in Cape Girardeau. Bryan King performed the ceremony. Vocalists were Kristina Criddle, Nicole and Alyssa Kimbel, Ben and Jennifer Crass, and music by Freedom Rock Band.
Parents of the couple are Stephen and Marilyn Stringer of Ullin, Ill., and Philip and Sharon Wellin of Gordonville.
Matron of honor was Carrie Stroup of Gordonville, sister-in-law of the groom. Bridesmaids were Amy Dunlap of Ullin, sister of the bride, and Erika Boardman of Jackson.
The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Stroup of Gordonville, brother of the groom, and Seth Stringer of Ullin, cousin of the bride.
Flower girls were Mollie Stroup and Emma Steimle. Ringbearer was Carson Stroup. Mollie and Carson are children of Jason and Carrie Stroup, and niece and nephew of the groom. Emma is the daughter of Ryan and Lani Steimle of New Hamburg, Mo., cousin of the groom.
The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson.
The groom's family hosted the rehearsal dinner July 20 at Bella Italia.
Mrs. Wellin is a 1999 graduate of Vienna High School in Vienna, Ill., and is completing a bachelor's degree in education. She is employed by Cape Girardeau School District.
The groom was home schooled. He is employed by K&F Insulation.
After a wedding trip to Branson, Mo., and Montauk State Park, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
