Jennifer Marie Stoverink and Travis Keith Friga were married June 9, 2001, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Mo. The Rev. Lewis Hejna performed the ceremony. Pianist was Jeff Overby, violinist was Beverly Reece, and soloists were Casie Janet and Julie Stoverink, sister of the bride, all of Cape Girardeau.
Alvin and Carol Stoverink of Cape Girardeau are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Cindy Dempster of McGee, Mo., and David Friga of Oran.
Maid of honor was Jean Stoverink of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Julie Stoverink, Alex Kohlfeld and Krissi Cox of Cape Girardeau, Briana Welker of Gordonville, Mo., and Stephanie Arnzen of Cape Girardeau.
Adam Friga of Oran served his cousin as best man. Groomsmen were Justin Friga, brother of the groom; Phil Seyer; Brandon Isaacs; Chad Cook, cousin of the groom, all of Oran; and Michael Stevens. Ushers and candlelighters were John Stoverink of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride, and Craig Friga of Oran, cousin of the groom.
Flower girls were Jadie Stoverink of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride, and Jessica Westrich of New Hamburg, Mo., cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Eric Westrich of New Hamburg, cousin of the groom.
Janel Mason of Scott City, Mo., attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at Oran Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Patrick Friga and Matt Seyer.
The rehearsal dinner was held June 8 at Guardian Angel School, hosted by the groom's mother and an aunt.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She is employed at Alliance Blue Cross Blue Shield.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Oran High School. He is pursuing a degree in physical education at Southeast Missouri State University.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
