First Presbyterian Church in Jackson was the setting March 15, 2003, for the wedding of Brooke Elizabeth Stephens and Christopher William Pobst. The Rev. Carter Frey performed the ceremony. Pianist was Loraine Adams of Jackson. Vocalists were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Averitt of Lexington, Ky., uncle and aunt of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Roger and Barbara Stephens of Jackson, and Terry and Donna Irwin of Gordonville. The groom is the son of Mark and Becky Pobst of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Carolyn Trovillion of Jackson, sister of the bride.
Matthew Pobst of Cape Girardeau served his brother as best man. Ushers were Matthew Pobst and Marc Stephens of Evansville, Ind., brother of the bride.
Ringbearer was Justin Trovillion of Jackson, nephew of the bride.
Heidi Ridings of Jackson attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the church. Servers were Lori Kail of Fordland, Mo., Trisha Lynch of Pocahontas, and Emily Westhoff of Cape Girardeau.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner March 14 at their home.
Mrs. Pobst is enrolled at Cedar Valley College to become a veterinary technician. She is employed at Peterson Veterinary Clinic in Minnesota.
The groom is a certified bio-medical equipment technician with the U.S. Air Force.
The couple is residing at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota.
