CHAFFEE, Mo. -- April Lee Stafford and Ronald Nathan Ressel were married Oct. 7, 2006, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Mo. The Rev. John Harth performed the ceremony. Scriptures were read by Carmen Guo of Huntington Beach, Calif., grandmother of the groom.
Pianist was Cindy Jackson of Cape Girardeau. Vocalist was Kierston Petitt of Scott City, cousin of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of David and Kelley Petitt of Chaffee. The groom is the son of Ron and Cindy Ressel of Sikeston, Mo., and the late Mary-Ann Ressel.
Maid of honor was Sara Petitt of Scott City, sister of the bride. Honorary bridesmaid was Nicole Kinder of Delta. Other bridesmaids were Cali Scherer of St. Louis, Kim Foulk and Jenny Holmes of Chaffee.
Justin Holmes of Chaffee was best man. Groomsmen were Dustin Bollinger of Chaffee, Chris Kirn of Cape Girardeau, Will Robertson and David Petitt, brother of the bride, both of Chaffee. Ushers were Sherman Watson of Marble Hill, Mo., cousin of the groom, and Josh Petitt of Scott City, brother of the bride.
Candlelighters were Ashley Payne of St. Charles, Mo., and Amanda Cannon of Cape Girardeau.
Flower girl was Tristan Foulk, daughter of Dean and Kim Foulk. Ringbearer was Tyson Holmes, son of Justin and Jenny Holmes and godson of the groom.
Guest book attendants were Beth McLemore and Brooke Lambert of Sikeston, sisters of the groom.
The dinner and dance reception was held at the Elks Lodge in Chaffee. Servers were Joyce Petitt of Gordonville, aunt of the bride, Michele Sadler and Micia Beard of Chaffee.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the parish center.
Mrs. Ressel is a 2002 graduate of Chaffee High School, and is pursuing a degree in social work at Southeast Missouri State University.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Chaffee High School, graduated from the NARS program at Johnson Community College, and attended Southeast.
After a wedding trip to Virginia Beach, Va., the couple resides in Chaffee.
